【摘要】:ThispartofBS5400givesrecommendationsforthedesignofstructuralsteelworkinbridges.Afterstatinggeneralrecommendations,proceduresaregivenforthedesignofsteelworkcomponents,assembliesandconnections.SuchproceduresareapplicabletosteelworkwhichistobefabricatedanderectedinaccordancewithBS5400-6.RecommendationsfordesignagainstfatiguearecontainedinBS5400-10.RecommendationsfordesignofconcretecomponentsandshearconnectorsfortheirinteractionwithsteelworkarecontainedinBS5400-5.Thepartialfactorsofsafetygivenareappropriateonlyforbridgesdesignedtothisstandard.Hybridconstruction,usingmaterialsofdifferentyieldstress,isnotgenerallywithinthescopeofthispartofBS5400.Parapets,safetyfencesandotherancillaryitemsarenotwithinthescopeofthispartofBS5400.
