【摘要】:Absoluteprobecoilmethods,whenusedinconjunctionwithreferencestandardsofknownvalue,provideameansfordeterminingtheelectricalconductivityofnonmagneticmaterials.Electricalconductivityofasamplecanbeusedasameansofdetermining:(1)typeofmetaloralloy,(2)typeofheattreatment(foraluminumthisevaluationshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithahardnessexamination),(3)agingofthealloy,(4)effectsofcorrosion,and(5)heatdamage.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingtheelectricalconductivityofnonmagneticmetalsusingtheelectromagnetic(eddy-current)method.Theprocedurehasbeenwrittenprimarilyforusewithcommerciallyavailabledirectreadingelectricalconductivityinstruments.Generalpurposeeddy-currentinstrumentsmayalsobeusedforelectricalconductivitymeasurementsbutwillnotbeaddressedinthistestmethod.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletometalsthathaveeitheraflatorslightlycurvedsurfaceandincludesmetalswithorwithoutathinnonconductivecoating.1.3Eddy-currentdeterminationsofelectricalconductivitymaybeusedinthesortingofmetalswithrespecttovariablessuchastypeofalloy,aging,colddeformation,heattreatment,effectsassociatedwithnon-uniformheatingoroverheating,andeffectsofcorrosion.Theusefulnessoftheexaminationsofthesepropertiesisdependentontheamountofelectricalconductivitychangecausedbyachangeinthespecificvariable.1.4Electricalconductivity,whenevaluatedwitheddy-currentinstruments,isusuallyexpressedasapercentageoftheconductivityoftheInternationalAnnealedCopperStandard(IACS).TheconductivityoftheAnnealedCopperStandardisdefinedtobe0.58x00D7;108S/m(100%IACS)at20x00B0;C.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
