【摘要】:Datafromthesetestsmaybeusedforstructuraldesignpurposes.Adequatesafetyfactors,basedonengineeringjudgmentmustbedeterminedbytheuser.Note28212;Samplingproceduresforin-situspecimenshaveamajorinfluenceontestresults.Specimenscarefullytrimmedinthelaboratoryfromlargeblocksamplestakeninthefieldhavetheleastchanceoffracturingpriortotesting.Samplepreparationmethodsoflaboratory-fabricatedspecimensalsohaveamajorinfluenceontestresults.SpecimensshouldbefabricatedinaccordancewithTestMethodD4320.Note38212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoflong-termstrengthanddeformationofacylindricalspecimenofeithera(undisturbed)fieldsampleorlaboratory-fabricatedchemicalgroutedsoilwhenitisshearedundrainedincompressionunderaconstantsustainedload.Note18212;Thevoidsofchemicalgroutedsoilsaremostoftensubstantiallyfilledwithgrout.Thus,porepressuresareunlikelytodevelop.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletopartiallygroutedsoilsinwhichsubstantialporepressuresmaydevelop.Ifporepressuresmustbemeasured,referenceismadetoTestMethodD4767forequipmentandprocedures.1.2Thistestmethodprovidesdatausefulindeterminingstrengthanddeformationpropertiesofchemicalgroutedsoilssubjectedtosustainedloads.Mohrstrengthenvelopesmayalsobedetermined.1.3Thedeterminationofstrengthenvelopesandthedevelopmentofrelationshipstoaidininterpretingandevaluatingtestresultsarelefttotheengineerorofficerequestingthetest.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents,therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.6Thistestmethodoffersasetofinstructionsforperformingoneormorespecificoperations.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthispracticemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Thewordx201C;Standardx201D;inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
